Ms. Williams Class Digs for Fossils

Here we come Kindergarten!
On Tuesday, KCC held an event to welcome our newest kindergarten Falcons and their families! Children and families met future teachers, were read stories, learned about the Falcon 5, played recess, took a bus ride and enjoyed ice cream from Sea Scoops! Our PTO president Rachel Coscia was here too! Please reach out to her to join our incredible PTO. We are super excited to see you all in the fall!

Information about the Formula Shortage
The pandemic and other factors are continuing to impact the availability of supplies, including infant formula. The Department of Public Health’s Woman, Infant and Children (WIC) Program has updated their website with important information to help WIC participants obtain formula for their children. Additionally, the American Academy of Pediatrics offers tips for families and caregivers who are struggling to find baby formula during the shortage. Families should talk with their pediatrician about safe and appropriate feeding alternatives for their children.

Parent Pick Up

Though we all love animals, when picking up your child from school, we ask you to keep dogs and pets at home. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact Dr. Goulart or Mr. Prehna.

Records and Burpee Animal Show
On Tuesday, KCC welcomed a zoo full of animals! Ms. Davis, a KCC staff member, contacted and organized the assembly. Students were thrilled to see turtles, crocodiles, a monkey and so much more! To learn more about Records and Burpee, please click here.
Nurse Update:
Parents, if you’d like your child to wear sunscreen please apply it before school. If children bring in sunscreen in their bags, students can apply it themselves but the teachers cannot apply it for them.
From our Handbook:
Students are encouraged and allowed to carry and use their own FDA-approved over-the-counter topical sunscreen product while on school property or at a school-related event or activity to avoid over-exposure to the sun. A physician's note or prescription is not required.
