Falcon Eye 2/28 - 3/4

Comic Relief for Parents and Caregivers

February Break!
We hope you have an enjoyable and relaxing February break. Your children work extremely hard at school and we are proud of their accomplishments. We can’t wait to see all the great things they do when we return!

FROM THE NURSES OFFICE

Please send your children to school with some spare clothes. Extra socks, underwear, t-shirt and pants will keep your student comfortable if an accident happens. If you have any extra clothes to donate to the nurses office, it would be much appreciated.

Read Across America!

On Wednesday March 2nd, 15 MHS English Honor Society Students will be at KCC to read to each classroom! We are extremely thankful to Ms. Smith (KCC Library Teacher), Annmarie Finn (MHS National English Honor Society Advisor), and the MHS English Honor Society Students! We truly are a connected community!

Preschool, PreK and Kindergarten Registration: 2022/2023 School Year

Our registration portal for Preschool, PreK and K for the 2022/2023 school year is now open. If you know of any families in Mashpee who are looking to register their children for the upcoming school year, please let them know. The sooner their info is in, the easier it is to plan for next school year as well as get to know new

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Students go outside unless the temperature hits “real feel like 20 degrees”.  Please make sure coats, gloves and hats are brought to school. If there is snow, please pack boots (extra shoes and socks to change back into), gloves, hats and snow pants. Students should be able to put the attire on themselves (if possible!). We highly recommend that all jackets, hats, gloves/mittens, scarves, boots are clearly labeled with your child’s first and last name in sharpie. Each day administration reviews the weather report as well as playgrounds to determine if the school will have indoor or outdoor recess.

Falcon Eye 2/14 - 2/18

Comic Relief for Parents and Caregivers

Happy Valentine's Day!
Not only is Monday our 100th day of school, it is also Valentine’s Day! If your child’s classroom is celebrating, please make sure to follow all guidelines regarding celebrations if food is brought into school. We hope everyone has a loving day!

Attendance
During the school year, we have half days. Please make sure to send your child to school on half days as they are packed full with academic and social emotional learning. These half days are valuable times for your child to learn and grow.

Morning Parent Drop Off
Thank you to our KCC community for your continued support in making morning drop off safe for children and staff. If you are late (9:06 AM), please make sure to park up at the front. Since your child is late, an adult must accompany them to the front door. Please park in a spot in the front of the building. Please never pass a yellow school bus when the lights are flashing.
All incidents will be reported to the Mashpee Police Department.
We appreciate all of your efforts in arriving on time to school and keeping our students and staff safe.

100th Day of School
The 100th day of school is February 14th! We are asking families to create a visual display of 100 things. These displays could be on poster board (cheerios, spaghetti, paint dots, candy, etc.) or created (Legos, blocks, paper clip chain, etc.). The display must be stuck together and not require reassembly at school. The number 100 is very important when establishing solid number sense in early childhood. This project will help your child learn how to represent and recognize relationships among numbers while
gaining an understanding of the magnitude of 100!
Your child will also have the opportunity to display their work in the hallways for the whole school to see.  Have Fun!

#KIDSHEARTCHALLENGE

Our Kids Heart Challenge is off and running! We have collected $2483.17 for the American Heart Association so far!! It's not too late to join. Our final week is next week with all donations due by Friday, February 18th. Thank you so much for your support of this program!
