Our COVID-19 Data Dashboard is updated in real time with every new case.  Families/students are reminded to assess their wellness each day prior to coming to school using the Updated Daily Symptom Checker linked here. If your child or you answer “yes” to any of the items in the daily symptom checklist, please remain home and contact District Health Coordinator Stacey Schakel at sschakel@mpspk12.org or 781-775-7605 to discuss the next steps.

Message from the Office

Please send all changes to transportation plans and attendance to kccattendance@mpspk12.org  or

call  508-539-1520

If you neglect to alert us ahead of time to your student dismissing early, bring your ID to the door to be checked.

Weather

Students go outside unless the temperature hits “feels like 20”. Please make sure coats, gloves and hats are brought to school. If there is snow, please pack boots (extra shoes and socks to change back into) and snow pants. Students should be able to put the attire on themselves (if possible!).

We highly recommend that all jackets, hats, gloves/mittens, scarves, boots are clearly labeled with your child’s first and last name in sharpie

Click here to sign your students up for Before and After School Clubs. The club session runs from February 1-May 24 and is open to all Kindergarten, First and Second Graders.

VERY IMPORTANT
Check your email for your link to complete your returning student registration.  This is your chance to update your email, phone number, emergency contacts and your students health alerts.  It is extremely important that we have the most up to date contact and medical information for you and your student.

“This week we celebrate and honor the work, life, and legacy of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This national holiday isn't simply a day off but "a day on" to volunteer and give back to our communities and causes that matter to

each of us.”

            -Teach for America

There is no school on Monday, January 17th as we celebrate and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Attendance
We highly appreciate everyone’s efforts in combating COVID 19 and we are aware that an uptick in absences has occurred. Each month an attendance report is run and reviewed. As the year goes on, you may receive a letter from Mr. Prehna regarding your child’s attendance (absences and tardies). Please, do not fear. Attendance letters keep families aware of absences as well as tardies. Mr. Prehna will contact you by phone or email if attendance and tardies have become problematic. Please continue to keep your children home if sick and continue to follow the guidance from the district regarding COVID 19 protocols. As always, we thank you for your collaboration.

Parent Drop Off and Pick Up
The safety of everyone at KCC is imperative and of utmost importance. When dropping off and picking up your child, please make sure your child is secured in their seat while arriving to school and leaving school. Thank you for your continued efforts to make these busy times of day safe for our community.
