Are You Ready for Some Kickball?  Falcon Style??!
We need some KCC Falcons to take on some Quashnet Falcons in an End of the Year Staff/Parent Kickball Game….Save the Date, June 10th from 5-7! We are looking for Staff & Parents that are ready to accept this challenge….We will be putting together co-ed teams of 12-15 players per team.  If you are interested please email Rachel Coscia at kccptopresident@gmail.com or Amber Smith at qsptopresident@gmail.com

The PTO is now accepting nominations for next year’s Board! Being part of the Board is a great way to be an essential part of the KC Coombs School Community! Please nominate people who you feel are qualified AND willing to serve on the Executive Board of the PTO.  Self-nominations are welcomed!

Many of our current board members will no longer have children at KC Coombs next year so we strongly encourage parents to consider a position on the board. This will ensure things such as the Book Fair, The Giving Tree event, Spirit Wear sales and many other school enhancing events continue to happen at KC Coombs.

The positions available are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary and Corresponding Secretary.

For questions on how to nominate someone or about specific duties of any of the positions please contact Rachel Coscia at kccptopresident@gmail.com. Voting will take place at our May PTO meeting (5/24/2022 at 6:30pm)

POSTCARDS ACROSS AMERICA

Dear Families and Friends,

I am super excited about this activity. Postcards Across America is an activity that we will do as a class to learn about our country. We are hoping to get a postcard from every state, but we need your help! If you have a family member or close friend from a different state, we would love to have them send us a postcard. I would like to get as many families involved in this exchange as possible. When doing this we will learn different facts and where the state is located on the map!  I am thrilled to get this activity going and try to get all 50 states!

PTO KCC Falcons Dance Off

We are excited to kick off our KCC Falcons Dance Off on 5/4. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for  enrichment programs and field trips as well as to strengthen our school community.

Our school has always relied on fundraising to provide exceptional opportunities to enhance student learning. And this year, we have more needs than we’ve ever had before, which means we need your support more than ever.

Just as we worked to safely begin school this year, we are also safely hosting this essential fundraiser based on our school’s current guidelines. We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at mybooster.com. Sharing IS supporting!

Starting 4/20 you and your family will have access to our custom pledge site to get started. We’ll send more details, as we get closer to our kick off.

We are grateful for our K. C. Coombs School family! Thank you for your support this year.

Art teachers on the Cape & Islands can select up to three artists to represent their school.  Artists this year are second grade student, Talan Holland, Raye Depferd from first grade and Kindergarten student Trenton Scott. They all demonstrated excellent use of the Elements and Principles of Design, skills and craftsmanship in completing their projects. The Exhibit will run from March 9th to May 8th.
