KCC's May ST Math Superstars!
KCC has been doing a fantastic job this year solving puzzles on ST Math.  We surpassed our goal and because of that JiJi presented us with a very special "80 Percent Complete" poster. This poster will be displayed proudly in the cafeteria. Working together we have solved over 720,000 math puzzles! 🐧

1st and 2nd Grade Field Day!
Ms. Daly organized another incredible Field Day! Thank you to all the special teachers for running stations! We were so happy to see so many parents and families attend!

Message from Ms. Smith!
It's that time of year again! All of the books need to go back on their shelves for the summer. If you haven't done so already, please send your child's book back to school as soon as possible, rather than waiting until the next Library day! All books must be returned or replaced. Thank you for your cooperation. I encourage you to visit the Mashpee Public Library over the summer!

A Message from Nurse Stacey
JUNE is Summer Safety Month. The nicer weather enables us to enjoy many outside activities. Therefore, we all need to take some extra steps to protect ourselves from the sun when we are outdoors. The sun’s rays can cause sunburn and other skin damage.
Here are some suggestions on how to make outside time safer.
* Avoid being in the sun for prolonged periods between 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. This is when the sun’s rays are the strongest and can cause the most damage.
* Cover yourself. Wear clothes that are light colored, that fit loosely and cover your arms and legs. Remember, even on a cloudy day, the sun’s rays are reaching you.

* Use sunscreen with a SPF (sun protection factor) of at least 15. There are also moisturizing lotions that contain SPF 15. You should apply sunscreen or moisturizing lotion about 20 minutes before you go outside. Make sure that you reapply sunscreen about every two hours and every time after you swim or exercise.

* Protect your eyes. Wear sunglasses made to provide protection from the sun’s harmful violet rays.

* Exercise wisely. Try not to exercise outdoors in the middle of a hot sunny day. When you exercise, make sure you drink plenty of water. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke can occur. Remember sneakers are the best DAILY footwear for school days. Please do NOT send your child to school in flip flops/sandals/open toed shoes.
