Run into Summer!
All Second graders have been offered a very exciting opportunity to take part in the Run Into Summer Race on June 29th in Osterville. Andrew Todoroff from the Cape Cod Challenger Club has graciously given each student a bib to participate in the 1 Mile race for free. The Challenger Mile Health Run/Walk is designed for people of all abilities to participate and enjoy the thrill of crossing the finish line. Directions on how to register for the race are on the back of the bib. You can find specific information about the race and the mission of the Cape Cod Challenger Club at capecodchallenger.org. I hope to see many of you there. Your child may even win a blueberry pie from Centerville Pie!
What a great way to kick off summer!

News from the PTO!
While we are ready to start creating summer memories with our own kiddos, there are still a few things we are working on to prepare for next year’s school year. The Board will be meeting with MaryKate O’Brien next week to go over the calendar of events for next year. We have had some wonderful feedback from parents recently, and we are going to do the best we can to create a line up that feels more inclusive to our families and their busy schedules.
Something new we are excited about is that we will be making an appearance at the Mashpee Farmers Market this summer! The PTO will have a table with an activity on three different Sundays: June 23rd, July 21st, and September 1st from 11am -12pm. Our goal over this past year has been to connect more with our community of families, and we are thrilled for this opportunity to do just that! And if you aren’t already, please follow us on Facebook at Kenneth C. Coombs PTO (Instagram coming soon) for announcements, connection opportunities, and information on who we are, what we do, and how we are planning to better serve our school community.
