KCC Open House
This week, KCC opened it's doors to families of Mashpee's youngest Falcons. The staff were excited to share all about KCC with you. Community partners from the Mashpee Wampanoag Education Department, The Coalition for Children, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, KCC PTO and We Are Mashpee Outreach joined us to show our connected community. Thank you to the DPW and Thomas Norton for their hard work preparing the school grounds and building to look it's best! We are all part of the same great community and you fit in!

Falcon Marathon Fridays!
Our Falcon Marathon Fridays will begin the week of September 25th for all Second Graders. We will meet every Friday during Integrated Arts time to walk, jog, or run one mile on school grounds or in the gym. Our goal is to have the students complete an entire Marathon (26.2 miles) by the end of May 2024! Students will also be participating in mindfulness and gentle movement activities during this time. Please have your child bring a labeled water bottle, wear sneakers and weather appropriate clothing for outdoor activity. Thank you in advance for your support! The Specialist Team: Liesl Crehan, Kristen Daly, Jackie Friel, Megan Smith, Jaime Vincent
PTO KCC/QS Welcome Back BBQ!
We hope everyone that came out to the Back to School BBQ had a great time! With face-painting, tattoos, games, and live entertainment from Stephanie Viva with Lemonadio.com, how could we not have fun?! The PTO is proud to put on this event every year for our staff and our students, but it is definitely a community effort. We wanted to express our many thanks to the staff, DPW and parent volunteers who helped with set up, breakdown, working the food line, and clean-up. And another big thank you to our sponsors: Dino’s Sports Bar, Roche Bros Supermarkets, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Cape Cod, Barnstable County Fair, and We Are Mashpee- Mashpee Public Schools Outreach. None of this would have been possible without you. Your continued support for our school community means so much!
This year, KCC will be using Pick Up Patrol to assist with dismissal each day. Parents were sent an email from Pick Up Patrol last week regarding the app and the system. Please read and follow the directions in the email.
On Friday, KCC officially kicked off their journey with JiJi on ST Math! Students solved puzzles and colored pictures of JiJi to celebrate! Thank you to our math coach, Ms. Souza for championing this fun and engaging math program!
Afternoon Pick Up
Afternoon pick up time is extremely important and we need your assistance with moving the line along and keeping it safe for students and staff. Recently many adults driving are using their cell phones (texting, not hands free) which is causing large gaps in the line preventing a smooth transition. We know your lives are busy however the safety of your children and staff during this time is of utmost importance.
