WHOI visits KCCS

In STEM, kindergarten students had a visit from Scientist Grace from NOAA/WHOI and learned about marine mammals in our Cape Cod backyard! They got to touch and hold marine mammal examples, learn about what and how they eat, measure “how many kindergarteners long” some of our marine mammals are, and practice their junior scientist skills by identifying North Atlantic Right Whales by their callosity patterns (unique to each whale, just like our fingerprints). Thank you Scientist Grace for the visit!

Camp Falcon

KCCS families, we need your help! Ms. Crystal and Ms. O'Brien are collecting the following items to be used for the Recycled Art Club at Camp Falcon. We appreciate all and any donations! Please make sure the items are clean prior to donating.

KCCS and QS Recess Connection!

This year the National Honor Society and Student Council members from QS joined in recess fun to support students at KCCS. It was great to see QS students giving back to their first school in the district and being role models.

PTO Update!

A final update on this year’s KCC Dance-Off powered by Booster. DRUM ROLL please… $26,107!! This is AMAZING! We are so grateful to be able to continue to help supplement our school’s working budget, as well as, provide free events to families. Thank you all for another successful year!

Our final PTO meeting of this school year was this week, and we are pleased to announce the new Executive Board for the 2024-2025 school year!

We are truly blessed to have such a dedicated, kind, and collaborative group of women that make up our PTO Board. It has been an incredible experience working alongside one another, and we are more than excited to continue to work together.

Exciting things are underway! Field trips are in full swing, teachers are starting to fill their classrooms with new items they’ve purchased with their Scholastic Dollars, our annual kickball game is coming up, and one of our very own KCCS parents, Thomas Norton, is going to beautify our school courtyard using his expertise as a Master Gardener!

Are you ready to start planning your summer fun?!! Thanks to our very own Malone Family, KCCS families are invited back to kick-off Opening Day at Cape Cod Inflatable & Wicked Waves Water Parks! The PTO is collaborating with the Malone Family to offer families a discounted admission rate of $20 per person. 50% of ticket sales will be awarded to the PTO. Tickets must be purchased in advance before Wednesday June 12th. Opening Day is Saturday June 15th, with a rain date of Sunday June 16th. We hope to see you all there!!
